Spring Break
All advertising, including classified advertising, is subject to review, rejection. or acceptance by the editor. If needed, a student review will determine if the advertising meets the standards of acceptability of The Arkansas Traveler.
TERMS
All advertising, including classified advertising, requires payment in advance unless credit has been established. Political, including campus candidates, and transient advertisers must prepay. Visa and Mastercard accepted. All rates are net to the newspaper. Ads placed through agencies require payment in advance or billing to the advertiser, unless agency establishes credit and assumes responsibility for payment of its client’s account. Payment is due 30 days from invoice date. Accounts falling 30 days past due will be charged a 10-percent late fee on past-due balances. Accounts falling 60 days past due will revert to prepaid status and must pay at least 10 percent of the past due amount with any new ad until the past due amount has cleared. Submission of an insertion order constitutes a binding contract, which may be cancelled following the newspapers standard cancellation policy. The Arkansas Traveler reserves the right to amend its policies or rates at any time. Existing insertion orders or contracts will be honored should rates or policies change. The Arkansas Traveler reserves the right to refuse any advertisement its editors and managers deem inappropriate. Any ad, other than those receiving campus or nonprofit rates, may be paid in full before the ad is published and receive a 5 percent discount.
University of Arkansas students and Registered Student Organizations may place classified line ads and announcements free of charge as long as those ads are not for commercial use. All political adverting, including that from students running for Associated Student Government, is considered commercial advertising. The Arkansas Traveler reserves the right to determine whether an ad is commercial.
