Iran war cheerleading is terrifying

Abstract:
Cheerleading for Iran war has increased recently and, unlike Iraq, this war could impact students more directly. The evidence of a desire to invade Iran began in 2002 when President Bush labeled Iraq, Iran and North Korea the "Axis of Evil." Since then, he invaded axis Iraq for oil, so it follows that similarly oil-rich axis Iran could be next....

So you believe that there is no threat to the United States security or national interests in Iran/Iraq/ME?? Terrorists don't exist (except in the Bush administration..lol)...

How naive!! or Cowardly! Probably both in your case.

A nuclear (weaponed) Iran will be more dangerous to the ME and world petroleum production than anything the President can think up....grow up please.

If the United States wanted to become independent of the Middle East oil - we would find take Oil from our own lands!!

So you really think that going to war with another country and breeding more people who hate the US is going to make America safer Mr. Barnes?

Instead of war why don't we try some DIMPLOMACY or would that be too democratic for you?

How naive? Do some research of your own and you'll find that Abel is right.

Umm.. Regardless of whether Iran has a nuke, has the capacity to make a nuke, wants to make a nuke, etc, bombing Iran isn't going to help the situation.

If Iran has a nuke, the only place they could or probably would use it would be Israel. Who by the way have all sorts of nuclear weapons.

Now think about why the US and Russia have so many nuclear missiles. Remember the idea of "assured mutual destruction?" Since Israel has nukes and the delivery systems to drop them right in the middle of Iran, its only common sense that Iran would be trying to even the playing field. I'm not sure why, exactly, Iran is such a huge threat to the world. Its not a resource rich country (if I have my facts straight), its people tend to enjoy living a life emulating a more Western style, the President of Iran has about as much credibility and control of Iran as Bush does in the US. The only way Iran would be an actual threat would be if US aggression united the Iranian people together in the spirit of self defense. Lots of innocent people would die, if a reactor were to be hit the radioactive contamination that would spill out over the country (hurting all sorts of people for many many years) would do a great job of pissing off the rest of the world (more so than now).

Terrorists? That term has been used so often that it has no meaning other than, "anybody that feels unfairly treated by the US and is willing to fight back." Sunnis are considered terrorists, Shiite are considered terrorists, Americans are considered terrorists, heck I spent a chunk of my young life in the Army and spent a year in Iraq and I'm probably considered a terrorist.

Acting on fear is no excuse for not having a lick of common sense.

What is needed is for us to return to the Constitution and the Founders and quit policing the world. Osama loves the fact we're over there because we're easier targets and also that we dismantled a secular government for the establishing of one under Islamic law.

This isn't our fight to win or lose. Those factions in Iraq have been fighting each other since the beginning of time. Having our troops there acting as police officers isn't going to change that.

There isn't a military solution in Iraq. The politicians there must come together and work out their differences. They must decide which direction they would like "their" country to go in.

our troops were not trained to police this civil war, how many more flag draped coffins do we need to see before people realize that? Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror, we weren't attacked by Iraqis on 911.

Experts have said that there is a very small amount of Al Qaeda members in Iraq, the majority are in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and the majority of insurgents are from Saudi Arabia.
