I do not know if they should make a law about it, but when choosing parents, they can keep in mind that gay parents cannot have kids naturally.

I guess they should keep in mind that heterosexual couples with fertility problems also cannot have kids naturally.

GOOD FOR YOU!!! PLEASE FIGHT THIS BAN!!! I am not a resident of Arkansas, I am not Gay, nor Lesbian, but what I am is far more important than whether or not i hold one of those titles. I am a mother, more importantly, I am an adoptive mother!!! almost 15 years ago i was blessed to have been called upon for the care of a child whose mother was unfit. THANK GOD I WASN'T A RESIDENT OF A STATE THAT BANNED ADOPTIVE PROCEEDINGS OF UNWED COUPLES!!!! being a parent is so much more than having a wedding ring, or whether the ring you wear is recognized by some court, being a parent means 2 o'clock feedings and 3 o'clock fevers with work the next day, comforting a child who is teased by bullies and has had her hair pulled by the mean girl who sits behind her. being a parent is being able to raise a child and mold them into respectful, law abiding citizens, even when you don't agree with some of those laws personally. Being a parent is the hardest job you will ever be completely in love with, look forward to putting in overtime for, because even though the pay sucks(especially in the teenage years) the benefits package (smiles included) makes it all worth while, and any one who is willing to give up their nights, weekends, "me-time" and intimate dinners for a chance to share a table with a 15 month old who is going to throw the spagetti that you spent all day laboring over on the floor... they deserve the chance, the right, to raise that child... and doesn't the child have the right to have someone who is willing to go to such lengths to see them smile just one time?? when did this adoption issue become about whether or not there were 2 mommies or 2 daddies, and not where the focus should be... whether or not the child had someone to love it and support it.... this state must be WAY ahead of the curve on children in foster care if it can afford to risk it's children's futures by denying them the chance at a stable home life!!!!
What I think REALLY needs to happen, (and i realize that this is kind of far-fetched) but all of the gay and lesbian couples who want to be parents (both foster and adoptive) should move to states where it is allowed and take all their tax money and revenue with them!! let's see them try to keep the budget balanced without the revenue generated by the people whom they so openly discriminate against!!
This is the very reason why since the beginning of time and certainly since the civil war, the southern states are looked upon as ignorant by the rest of the nation!!! I am beginning to understand why!!!!!
