Final demolition stages begin
A Lady'back softball field, more green space and probably a low impact parking area will replace the remaining building of the Carlson Terrace complex, said a UA facilities official.

UA develops preservation plan
The Getty Foundation recently awarded the UA $170,000 to create a plan to preserve historical sites on campus. The UA then matched $40,000 for the project, said Mike Johnson, associate vice chancellor of facilities.

Alcohol policy brings stricter penalities
UA officials have outlined new penalties for students who violate UA alcohol and drug policies.
The least restrictive sanctions, listed in the Code of Student Life act in lieu of local, state and federal laws. Walker Hall opens
In what was once a parking lot in 2005 now stands a four-building business campus, which includes the newly constructed Willard J. Walker Hall.

Local artist graces the wall of the Arkansas Union with mural
It took artist Jason Jones two weeks' time to complete his most recent mural in the UA Union.
His new mural, "The Principles," was painted outside and above the Arkansas Union exhibit room's west entrance doors. UA researchers create wireless biosensorsTechnology
Electrical engineering researchers at the UA have developed small, wireless biosensors that can read vital signs when placed directly on the body or implanted in clothing, a UA researcher said.
