A juvenile, not affiliated with the university, reported to the UA Police Department that she had been detained against her will by an acquaintance at his residence, police authorities said.

The juvenile reported that her acquaintance had pushed her down several times and threatened her, authorities said. The alleged crime took place between 1 and 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The victim suffered minor injuries, said Lt. Matt Mills of the UAPD. No arrests have been made, and the matter is still under investigation, authorities said.

Police have done some interviews to determine what happened but have not yet ascertained a motive for the crime, Mills said.

UAPD officers said they received another report of battery Monday morning. A student reported that an acquaintance had made rude remarks toward him and fought with him as the two walked along Dickson Street east of McIlroy Avenue.

No one was seriously hurt in the fight, and no arrests have been made, Mills said.
