Lewis wins 11th collegiate tournament at Bryan National
Lady'Backs finish in top five for seventh time in eight events

UA senior Stacy Lewis won her 11th collegiate golf tournament Sunday at the Bryan National in Browns Summitt, N.C.
Lewis fired a final round 77, edging Duke's Amanda Blumenherst by one stroke for the win. Lewis finished with an even par 216 (70-69-77) for the three-day event after battling tough conditions and five bogeys in the final round.
Lewis' victory is the fifth of the season and the 11th of her impressive career. The defending national champion is also a three-time all-American and three-time Southeastern Conference first-team selection.
"It was tough again today," Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor said. "It was 38 degrees and raining. It was a mental test as much as anything today. I'm really proud of Alex [Schulte]. She stepped up and counted on a hard day when we needed her. Stacy [Lewis] couldn't get any putts to fall early in the round but made some late to save par and get the win."
As a team, No. 9 Arkansas moved up the leader board for the second day and finished fourth overall. It was the seventh top-five finish in eight events for the Lady'Backs.
The Lady Razorbacks wrapped up play with a 305 Sunday, moving out of a tie for fifth place and into sole possession of fourth with a 913 (305-302-306). Arkansas was two strokes better than No. 42 Furman in fifth place and seven strokes off No. 5 Florida, the come-from-behind winner.
The Gators overtook No. 1 Duke to win the event with a 906 (298-301-307).
Freshman Kelli Shean also turned in a final round 77 and finished tied for 21st overall with a 230 (78-75-78). Junior Lucy Nunn matched that same final round score and tied for 29th overall with a 232 (78-77-77), followed by sophomores Alex Schulte and Kristin Ingram. Schulte counted a 237 (79-80-75) after shooting the low round of the day for Arkansas. She tied for 52nd overall. Ingram tied for 59th with a 241 (81-81-79).
"Overall, I'm quite pleased with the finish," Estes-Taylor said. "We climbed up the leader board all weekend and that's our goal. I'm excited to have about two weeks at home before the SEC Championship and we're going to work on finishing strong. That's our motto for the rest of the season."
