It is estimated that 178,480 new cases of breast cancer will occur among women in the United States. About 40,460 of those women will die from breast cancer, according to the Susan G. Komen Web site. McDonnell steps down as Razorback head track coach
Arkansas cross country and track and field coach John McDonnell announced his retirement Monday after 36 years and 42 national titles at the University of Arkansas.
The 69-year-old McDonnell will step aside at the conclusion of the 2008 outdoor track season in June.…

UA students march for human rights awareness
UA students marched down Dickson Street chanting slogans and holding signs as part of the second annual From Dickson to Darfur rally Friday night.

Students offer opposing view to Olympics protest
The UA Chinese Students and Scholars Association hosted the event "Olympic Games at the UA" Friday evening at the Union Mall, where participants prayed for the success of the Olympics in Beijing.

Famous Swiss filmmaker to visit UA
The famous Swiss filmmaker Dr. Walo Deuber is coming to the UA Tuesday, April 22 to talk about his Holocaust documentary "Fading Traces." The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Arkansas Union Theater.
