UA offer to buy FHS expires
Selling Fayetteville High School and its adjacent property to the UA is no longer an option, said Alan Wilbourn, the Fayetteville School District's public information officer. The UA recently withdrew its offer to buy FHS.

Alternative transportation saves money
Transportation service on campus might save gas and partially solve the problem of limited parking spaces, but driving cars is more convenient, students and faculty said.

Razorbikes provides free, "green" transportation
A bicycle-sharing system for the UA community was just an idea a year and a half ago, but now, 20 bikes later, the "Razorbikes" program is available on the UA campus.

Rash of thefts at HPER goes against general trend
The HPER building was the site of four thefts over three days in late July. However, the rate of theft there seems to be the exception, not the rule, according to police reports.

Sorority recruitment begins
More than 700 girls disregarded the rain Saturday to line the sidewalks of Maple Street and Arkansas and Oakland Avenues for the first day of formal sorority recruitment, until the stormy weather forced a brief rain delay, recruitment officials said.
